Xixi Zhi Yu is a mythical fish from the ancient bestiaries of China.
Description
The Xixi Zhi Yu lived in the Raucous River near Trickling Brilliance Mountain. This fish had ten wings attached like a bird's. It was believed that eating the Xixi Zhi Yu would cure jaundice.
Possible Explanation
There is a family of fish that use their fins to glide through the air known as flying fish. These fins could be mistaken for wings by the uninformed. Certain oils from the fish are used to heal some diseases.
