
Winged Cat is a cryptid reported from Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
On November 15, 1884, a woodcutter named Ushizou Yamada went deep into the mountains to do some work and found a flying creature that sounded like a tiger, captured it, and brought it home. The creature was covered with black body hair, resembled a cat in shape, and had wings growing from its back.
This event was reported by several newspapers, including the Ouu Nichinichi Shinbun on December 1, the Tokyo Eiri Shinbun on December 5, and the Eiri Asano Shinbun on December 6.
In Japan, a cryptid with similar characteristics, Unnamed Kaiju, was captured 58 years ago.
