Ugandan giant spiders[]

It is a giant spider cryptid seen in Uganda.
Sightings[]
In 1890, a British missionary named Arthur Smith explored along the shore of Lake Niasa. While walking with his colleagues, some porters got caught in the spider's web and were unable to escape, but they could not be cut off by anything. Soon there, two spiders about 1.2 meters long with their legs spread out jumped at the person who was tied to the spider's web. Smith threw the spiders out with a pistol, but the porters had already been bitten. They suffered from a high fever and hearing loss, swollen limbs, and died soon after. The spider's existence was made known by the surviving Smiths
