Kaluga, a species of sturgeon
Toyotaro is a very little known fish cryptid reported from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
Toyotaro is said to be a cryptid of a very large fish that appears in the Toyohira River, which flows through Sapporo City. Nothing is known about when or who sighted it, or what it looks like in detail, and it is believed to have spread through local gossip. All that is known to date is that it is a very large fish, that it appears in the Toyohira River, and that there have been multiple sightings.
Since a small number of sturgeon are caught every year in Hokkaido, it is thought that Toyotaro is most likely a Kaluga.
