Setanimal

The Set Animal[1], also known as the Sha[2], is a mammalian creature believed to have either formerly existed or been imagined by the Ancient Egyptians[3]. It is said to be associated with the Egyptian god Set, the god of deserts and violence[4].

Appearance[]

The Set Animal looks like a canine with a drooping snout[5], large square ears[6], long skinny legs[7], and a straight forked tail[8]. It is said that its fur was black[9], but it could also have been red[10].

Theories[]

There are many theories surrounding how the Set Animal could exist[11].

1. It was once a real animal existing in Egypt, but became extinct.

2. The heiroglyphs showing the creature were not completely accurate, and were meant to depict another creature, possibly a canine creature like a greyhound or whippet.

3. The creature was a religion-based creature and did not exist.
