Puszczyn or Puszczun (pronounced "Poosh-chin") is one of two creatures that can be called the Polish Bigfoot, just like Getzko, but even more obscure, known only from one internet post.
Description[]
Puszczyn was mentioned in a 2007 thread on kryptozoologia.pl, in which a user described that when he was visiting his friend in Kurpie Zielone near Myszyniec, his friend's mother said that his friend looked like "a Puszczyn", because he was dirty. Curious, the user asked about what a Puszczyn was, and the mother replied that it's how people used to call shadows in Kurpie Zielone in the old days.
The user connects the Puszczyn with ancient Slavic beliefs about wild men possessed by spirits of the dead. After several posts, the thread dissolved into talking about Polish and Slavic history, and not much was discovered about the creature.
Explanation[]
Puszczyn is probably a description of either a shadow or a Bogeyman-like figure.
