The Monster of Bor Lake is a cryptid reported from Bor Lake in eastern Serbia, an artificial lake which formed after a dam was constructed in 1959 to service a nearby mining and smelting company. The lake has since become a popular recreation spot with reports of a monster living in it starting around the 1980s. The monster appears to be most active at night.
Description[]
The creature is large, around the size of two motor boats. Its body is overall described as fish-like or snake-like, and it has large wing-like fins. It has smooth skin, an overall dark coloration and an elongated head that somewhat resembles that of a horse.
Some reports claim the monster has aggressive or carnivorous habits, and it appears nocturnal, being most active at night. It has been called the "Serbian Loch Ness Monster".
