The Longzhi (蠪蛭) is a fox-like beast in Chinese Mythology. It is one of the mythical beasts featured in the Chinese classic text Classic of Mountains and Seas (山海经).
The Longzhi resembles a fox with nine tails, nine heads and tiger claws. It makes a cry like that of a baby and is said to eat humans. Although it is vicious, eating Longzhi meat will make you be able to avoid evil. It is nine put together, the larger head being the female and smaller eight being male.
The Classic of Mountains and Seas describes it living on a mountain where gold and jade is present. Under the mountain, there are stones that can be used to make needles.
