Description[]
The Lake Utopia Monster, also known as "Old Ned", is a lake monster that allegedly inhabits Lake Utopia in New Brunswick, Canada. The creature has been described as bulky, 20+ feet in length, having a large head, being reddish-brown or dark red in color, etc. Cryptozoologist Norma Stewart claims that the last sighting of the Lake Utopia Monster reported to her was in 2000, the last sighting of the creature reported to newspapers was in 1996. She believes that the creature travels back and forth between Lake Utopia and the Atlantic Ocean every 3-5 years, possibly for a breeding or feeding cycle. Stewart also notes that the creature "loves to bask" and is "never vicious either".
Possibilities[]
It is possible that the Lake Utopia Monster is actually an oarfish or giant eel.
