Kuigon is a hairy humanoid cryptid reported from Kui Town, Hiroshima, Japan.
In Hiroshima Prefecture, a series of Bigfoot-type cryptids named hibagon and yamagon were reported from 1970 to 1974 and 1976 to 1981, respectively. In 1982, another hairy humanoid cryptid was reported from Hiroshima Prefecture. This was kuigon, named after Kui Town.
Kuigon is described as 2 meters tall, with brown hair all over its body, and unlike the Japanese macaque, which has no hair on its buttocks, kuigon also has hair on its buttocks, giving it the appearance of a smaller version of King Kong.
In one instance when two boys, ages 10 and 7, encountered the kuigon, it was holding a stone axe in its left hand and a rock in its right. He did not attack the boys, but shouted "ho ho ho" and left up the cliff and into the mountains.
As in this case, despite his weaponized appearance, he was mild-mannered and never attacked anyone, with even the greatest reported damage being the theft of lunch boxes and crops.
On the other hand, there have been reports of him getting angry. When one person encountered a kuigon and jokingly called him a "fool" against him, the beast became angry and chased after the insulter. Based on this report, it is said that the kuigon may understand human language, specifically Japanese.
kuigon is believed to be the same individual as hibagon and yamagon, given the time period and region. why hiroshima bigfoot has not been sighted since kuigon is unknown, but there is a photo of hibagon's carcass that says it was taken in the 1980s, so he last It is possible that he died shortly after being sighted.
