Królis (from Królik - Rabbit, and Lis - Fox, pronounced, "Crew-lease") was a creature which was the focus of a popular urban legend in Poland in 1990.
Description[]
Królis was, according to the legend, a mutant created during the Chernobyl disaster. It was allegedly living in the Kampinos Forest, and would destroy cars by slashing their tires, exhausts and brakes. Królis was also described as a vengeful creature, who would attack humans for polluting the natural environment.
According to several articles, an alleged photo of the creature was published in an undisclosed Polish newspaper during the '90s, but the photo is nowhere to be seen on the Internet. The creature was mostly forgotten after the 1990s, and is now mostly mentioned in Poland with a dose of nostalgia, as an example of absurd news from the '90s.
