Kaiju of Inba Marsh or Lake Imba Monster (印旛沼の怪獣) is a cryptid reported from Inba Marsh (also spelled Lake Imba) in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

On the morning of September 25 (Some say the 2nd or 12th), 1843, around 6:00 AM, government officials and laborers were building a channel connecting Inba Marsh to the Tone River when muddy water gushed out of a swamp at a place called Bentenyama. As they were curiously monitoring the swamp, the weather suddenly turned bad and a monster appeared in the midst of the terrible rain and wind. The monster was 16 feet long, with a 6-foot face, a 5-foot mouth, and claws a foot long. Its entire body was black and its face was ape-like. Its eyes were the size of barrels and shone like the moon or the sun. The monster sat on a rock for some time after its appearance, but suddenly it made a thunderous noise, and three to thirteen of those who saw the creature (depending on the literature) died.

It is widely believed that the monster was a cynical creation of those opposed to the construction of the Inba Marsh, but some believe it was a stray seal, while others believe it to be the earliest description of Matsudodon, a cryptid from a nearby area. Also, according to folklore, Inba Marsh is said to be inhabited by dragons, so there are a few who believe that this strange creature was a dragon.
