Jie is a beast from the old Chinese bestiaries that was reported to have lived in Mount Li.
Description[]
The Jie was described in bestiaries as an angry dog whose body was covered by scales and hair that grew from the spaces between them.
Explanation[]
The Jie could have ben a malformed canid of sorts, a wolf or a dog, with a very bad skin disease, which the Ancient Chinese might've interpreted as a mythological animal.
