Iwagon

The Iwagon is a marine cryptid reported from Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan.

On October 27, 2022, a YouTuber group named "Tsuriame" were fishing at Onahama Port in Iwaki, Fukushima, when they spotted a strange creature and successfully videotaped it. The creature remained at the surface for a short time before diving back under the water.

According to them, this was not the first time the creature had been sighted, and there had been rumors of an unidentifiable creature appearing on the surface of the water in this port.

The video was picked up by a TV program, and expert verification suggested the possibility of pinnipeds, sea otters, or sea turtles. In particular, many experts suggested the possibility of sea turtles, and a sea turtle expert said "It is very likely sea turtles, but we don't know for sure."

They witnessed another strange creature on another occasion and named it Iwakkie.
