Inassie is a cryptid reported from Lake Inawashiro, Fukushima, Japan. The first sighting was around 1993, but sightings ended sometime in the 90's and no sightings were made in the 2000's through the 2020's.

It is described as being 12 to 13 meters long with a plesiosaur-like appearance. One witness testified that it looked like a turtle.

In Fukushima Prefecture, where Inassie was spotted, a fossil of an elasmosaur named Futabasaurus has been discovered, and some have suggested it as a candidate for Inassie's true identity. The calling card with Inassie's design also includes the words Futaba Suzuki Ryu (the Japanese name for Futabasaurus).

Cryptid researcher Takeshi Nakazawa analyzed that since the Cretaceous mass extinction occurred 66 million years ago but Lake Inawashiro was formed 20,000 years ago, Inassie is unlikely to be a plesiosaur and Inassie may be a turtle-like organism.
