The Hsigo are creatures from Chinese folklore.
Description[]
They were monkey like beings with human faces, dog tails and bird wings large enough for controlled flight. To sight one in an area was indication of a drought.
These creatures are thought to have been the inspiration for the Flying Monkeys in The Wizard of Oz.
