Giant Snake of Higashi Ibaraki County (also known as Ibaradon)is a reptilian cryptid that appeared in Higashi Ibaraki County, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
On June 29, 2003, a person named Hideo Nakamura of the Cryptid Research Institute of the Corporation Foundation reported an encounter with a giant snake.
The sighting was in a wooded area with a straight path for three kilometers. The snake was more than 10 meters long and larger than the width of the road. It was so large that its head was not visible. It was dark green in color with round ochre-colored spots.
Nakamura conducted interviews and research in the area and learned that a local high school student and a factory engineer had seen a similar creature.
In addition, eaten chocolate vine berries were found in the nearby forest, and Nakamura discovered that their dentition did not match that of any creature in the area. Near this chocolate vine fruit, traces of what appeared to be a dragging tail were left behind.
