Giant Silicon Trees are, according to a certain conspiracy theory, extinct trees that used to live all over Earth, before going extinct and petrifying, turning into mountains and various geological formations.
Description[]
The giant tree theory states that many geological formations (e.g. the Devil's Tower) are actually petrified remains of an extinct clade of huge trees that went extinct and calcified, turning into these formations. The proof of their existence is usually said to be the Bible, which mentions giant trees, and the flag of Lebanon, which according to some conspiracy theories shows one of those trees.
According to one source on the theory, the famous California Redwood trees are the saplings of this clade that have grown the most.

The theory about giant silicon trees was first created in 2016 by Russian YouTuber and conspiracy theorist Ludin Rusi. The theory is connected to Flat Earth conspiracies, but did not actually originate as one.
A similar theory states that large rock formations are actually melted and/or destroyed giant ancient buildings (not to be confused with the infamous Tartaria theory, or the Ancient Aliens theory, as it is unrelated).
