Citations needed[]
I just discovered this wiki through my interest in cryptozoology and in the history of fantastic creatures. I am dismayed that there are few if any citatations provided in the pages. Citations are important for letting readers know where specific information comes from. This allows them to find it for themselves should they be interested in learning more. It also protects the site from any claims of misrepresentation of misuse of material by any authors, artists, publishers etc. Cryptozoology is a subject especially open to ridicule, and a lack of proper citations only reinforces that problem.
For those unsure about properly citing sources, I recommend checking out Wikipedia's guidlines: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citing_sources . They have special codes etc. for the task (do we have them here?) but citations can be added by hand if needed. I propose that Cryptid Wiki consider adopting official guidelines as well because it will make it easier for everyone.
