Chini Lake Kaiju or Chini Lake Monster （チニ湖の怪獣）is a cryptid reported from Chini Lake, Malaysia.Another cryptid called Seri Gumum has also been reported from the same lake.
Sightings[]
In 1953, young men from the Ruji village (ルジ村:this is a provisional spelling as the exact spelling in the alphabet is not known), near Chini Lake, encountered the strange creature when they entered the nearby jungle. It was described as being 10 metres long and golden all over, with a single horn on its nose and two horns above its eyes.
When the police team investigated the area where the monster appeared, they found that trees had fallen and grass had been trampled.
Explanations[]
Based on the horns, some have suggested that it may be a Ceratosaurus or Ceratopsia. However, the time frame and the surrounding environment make it almost impossible for such a creature to survive. As this sighting is only presented in Japanese books, it is possible that this episode is a creation by a Japanese book writer.
