The Antarctic Sea Spider, sometimes called a Giant Antarctic Sea Spider, was, according to the hoax, a new species of sea spider discovered in Antarctic waters. The text accompanying the pictures stated:
Scientists recently discovered the body of a giant sea spider like organism in Antarctic waters. the origin of this species is unknown, and it is unclear whether or not there are more of these terrifying creatures roaming the oceans.
The so-called Giant Antarctic Sea Spider was obviously a photo of a prop of the Queen Facehugger creature from the famous Alien movie series.
